With the recent addition of the service commands Game Masters are no longer Pez Dispensers which has somewhat restored them back to being there to help players with general inquiries and random events rather than a necessity that had to be around in order to take part in an event.

Due to popular demand I’ve added another Demon Pit in D3 around the 320.340 mark and will continue to make the map a nicer place to hunt by jam packing it with more monsters No I can’t remove tentacles! Let us know what monsters you want to see more of in D3 here -> Poll link.

GMSyntax has been working hard on a new test client for you guys to.. test. There are some pretty neat updates within the client, please check out the client and leave feedback here -> Link. We have increased the experience on Ettins in SW and DV!
Some players have been asking about the 5 million experience that players got when they were 100 that disappeared when we swapped over to the new (current) design. We have finally gotten around to updating the website and have added this information, along with other new player gifts here.
With implementing new features (especially when we are as restricted as Helbreath currently is) hiccups will happen, unfortunately we’ve experienced one today. Given that iEntertainment have removed the official test server we have to use servers run on an individual level which do not contain the same bulk of information, so we really only have the live server to complete any changes. While we may take all precautions, sometimes things go wrong.
If you’ve played over the last 24 hours, you’ll notice that there has been a role back. Sadly, this was caused by an error in trying to implement a Service DK DIY that resulted in having to restore an old database. For unknown reasons, the changes wiped multiple characters clear of their items and was continuing to do so each time they logged in, so any attempt at recovery was impossible as there was some type of corruption within the database itself. As a result we had to restore the database, which was almost 24 hours old. This means that anything that was obtained from 4AM CST was lost. Any problem that we experienced with the database has been ironed out and has been corrected by the rollback.
If you’ve lost:
In order to make up for any lost experience, I have brought the server back online with DOUBLE EXP and will be leaving that on for the week in order to help make up for any lost EXP and I will be placing some EXP on the website (link here).
I do understand that it’s frustrating, I believe the benefits far outweigh the negative side effects that we may experience along the way. Being able to place EXP on your boots yourself, being able to exchange your own alchemy parts and wild tokens into scav items and being able to claim your own DK armor (to be announced shortly) within 5 minutes instead of having to wait sometimes days is a far better outcome.
Yes having a test server where we’d be able to implement and test any features there would be ideal, it’s currently not an option. We will be as accommodating as possible when completing tickets please make sure that you create your ticket under [Item] Missing Items / XP (Lost / Rollback / Sold to NPC) section.

I’ve done a reset and I’ve reverted the client to the 4.15.01 version which means the see through dialog boxes and other client changes wont work. The other changes such as the BBH change will still be there.
If the auto updater isn’t working for you please download the client directly from here. http://www.helbreathusa.com/DownloadHB/HelGame.exe – then place it into your Helbreath folder and you should be able to connect.
I will speak with GMSyntax about the issue with Windows 7 and Windows Vista to see what can be done to prevent the issue from occurring again.

We will be implementing a double EXP as of the next reset and it’ll run for approx 1 week! Be sure to login to the online store now and buy slates so that you can make the most out of your leveling time!
We’ve been listening to your feedback on the forums and we’re implementing a few of those changes. During the next reset Promise Lands will have undergone a major overhaul. The level limit will have been removed and the spawns have been totally changed up!
For those who are P2P, there is a teleport to your farm in the city hall that will allow a shorter walk to Promise Lands.
The map spawns have been changed to mimic those of Middlelands and includes a wide range of high PvE pits to lure you in such as
Along with the normal spawns that come with the Middlelands, we’ve also included some Giant Plants that roam the map and a few Liches to tempt you. There is a map limit of 600 so the map will be constantly buzzing with monsters!
The Middlelands will be left as is for the time being.
If you are in the process of leveling your character and wish to do it in a level 140- map, we have upgraded the “Noob Dungeon” as well! It has been given some new pits that you can level up in!
Along with all of that we have also adjusted the town spawns and spread out the normal town spawns across town allowing for a greater usage. Instead of 3 slime pits there is now 1 slime pit and 2 scorpion, 2 frog pits etc. This overhaul has been done to both towns. For approx cords see the lists below
* Zombies have been reverted to their pre-apoc selves.
The server will be coming offline while we complete the reset. We expect this to take a few hours, in the mean time we suggest that you login to your account maintenance and change your password(s). It’s always good to change your password every now and then!
Town pits will remain “Easter”ised during this reset. We plan to change the town pits back to their close to normal selves during the next reset, so we hope you guys enjoy them for 1 more weekend!

The reset was only a quick one. I have completed all 180 DK tickets, delivered all store orders and did as many tickets as we could. I will be working on tickets throughout the week as I can and I’ll be doing a full reset on Thrusday that will hopefully clear out the remainder of the tickets [assigned to me].

Hi All,
I’ve been waiting for the host to finish some maintenance for the bulk of the day and the last ETA means that I will not be able to do the reset on time. At this stage I am pushing the reset back to tomorrow so that I am able to install the new client and update. I am starting the reset now and expect the reset to take a few hours.
As we expect the server to be offline for a number of hours offering 500,000 experience points for the delay. The experience will be removed shortly after the reset has been completed.
Update: We have completed the reset, you need to use your auto updater in order to connect to the server. We are still uploading the files so it may be a moment or two before you can compete the full update.

It has come to our attention that a number of players are currently using the task manager to terminate the program as a way to quickly disconnect from the game and therefore avoid dying. This is something that iEntertainment and the Helbreath Staff do not condone and will if need be start issuing warnings to people for interfering with the transmission of the game, which is quite a serious issue.
We hope that this behavior will stop and that players will meet their deaths with honor! Fight for your survival but do not rob other players of their EK, you wouldn’t want them to do the same to you, would you?
Play fare!
To the good players that don’t abuse this we recommend that you protest players who are and refuse to PvP with players who do. Send a message to them and the rest of their town that you will not stand for such behaviour and recall if / when they turn up and attempt to PvP. Often your actions in game can influence what happens better than a warning. It will also have an instant impact on them and their town members.
If you witness someone constantly and instantly disconnecting in a situation that would have resulted in their death, please feel free to create a ticket and let us know. We recommend that you do not abuse the people in game (or out of it) as this may result in you getting a warning and we don’t want that!

We have created a page on our website that allows you to rejuvenate your own character LOCATED HERE – http://www.helbreathusa.com/CHar-Rejuv.php.
This will allow you to change your character stats as you want them, when you want them! Once you have completed the form, you will be added to a list and we can deliver the token to you during a reset .
You can also do this whenever YOU want!
You don’t have to wait until a reset in order to continue leveling! Awesomeright?

Tip: If you’re looking for some zombies try looking inside a building by hovering your mouse over it’s roof or seeing if any guards need help. Each teleport pad should have 4 guards on the patrol so if you see on missing, have a look around!

I have left the Anniversary events (including double EXP) running until the next reset when we will remove them from game. Go get that last bit of DOUBLE EXP! Winners of the EK event will be announced in a few days!
The EK list has been updated with December 2010, January and February for 2011. Please be aware that these files are unedited and directly from the server. Any obvious lamers have already had their EKs and Hero items removed, please do not harass these players in game.
The server is currently experiencing a few hiccups, we recommend that you do not trade (or share) items without logging out, after any extended time training or after any item you’ve found to log out to ensure that your character information is saved. If you do happen to lose an item or EXP or a slate please create the appropriate ticket.

Over the last few months I have been working with Trinny the new and much clearer HBUSA website. The overall design was done by me (Tamara) and Trinny has done most (if not all, he’s been amazing!) of the back end coding and has been guiding me on the finer points of design – the website is amazing!! I’m really excited about the new look and the way things have been planned out. I hope you guys enjoy it!
We have some new features that you should have a look at! On the left menu you can see screenshots and you’ll even be able submit your own directly to us soon!! An email is sent and if approved we will add yours to the website, if we find your description of what happened entertaining we can even add it to the front page of the website! We also have Monthly EK List so be sure to have a look – it only has a few months we will be adding the other months from then until now!

We’ve completed the reset and will be working on tickets over the next few hours. We’re still having a few issues with the character transfers but we’re working on getting that fixed as quickly as possible!
I’d like to give a public and well deserved thank you to all of the GMs who rallied around while I was moving. Their help has allowed me to focus and get the job done, while allowing the world of Helbreath to continue along with most of the events. So thank you very much GMs 
. I’ve now got internet and I’m getting things back up and going ASAP.
I’d love to launch the late Valentines Day event today (the day of the post) however, I don’t want to rush things and end up doing another 5 resets after the fact, so I’m going to wait until things are just right first.
I’ve been able to do the IOU EXP along with some others for the month of Feb. Remember to use them carefully! A full list of EXP pages will be placed on the main website sometime soon. I’ve decided that the Valentines event that was planned (Questing for fun, and really nice items) will continue as planned and I will do a “March Mania” event for a more even spreading out of items, so stay tuned and I’ll post more info later.

We’ve got GMail Chat! This YouTube video has a tutorial on how to add GMail chat to your existing GMail account or AIM account! We’re on during most resets and as often as we can for you to talk with us!
I’m sure by now you’ve used the auto updater (Helbreath.exe) like a good little Helbreathian and got the new client.
We’ve also made some changes to the defense necklaces (see below). All your necklaces will be changed in game automatically. We felt that these necklaces were being under used in game and hope that they will prove to be more useful to players in future.

I’ll be doing the first reset of 2011 within a few hours if all goes to plan. The reset itself will take a few hours there is currently 105 tickets, some more detailed than others, but each one will take anywhere from 30 seconds to 5+ mins.
I’d like to take a moment to say thank you to the GMs who have been helping out over the past few weeks, they have been awesome and made the holiday season a lot less stressful.
I know that a few things have been brought up so I’ll try to answer as many of them here.
