Only a handful of hours after Abaddon spawned, he was defeated. A group of brave souls ventured to the Tower of Hell and destroyed Abaddon. This news traveled fast amongst the levels of the evil monsters that lurk in the evil underbelly of Helbreath.

Rumors are spreading about like wildfire that Abaddon is loosing his touch and is no longer able to control his minions. Many of the lower boss monsters have been overheard talking about a mini rebellion on both towns.

We'll post updates as we get them. In the mean time we recommend that you be on high alert and stock up on invisibility potions when leaving the safety of the town houses to prevent unnecessary deaths.

• Broadcast

Earlier today, it was reported that a rumbling could be heard echoing through the dungeon levels of our wonderful lands of Helbreath. Scientists at the City Hall are unable to determine a source at the time. However, some say it’s got something to do with Abaddon being spawned.

We’ve received strange reports that Abaddon himself has manifested in to the form of what we know as a “Game Master”. He’s wearing their special powered shield and is able to roam around as they would.

Authorities recommend that you stay well away from the now humanoid formed Abaddon. Temperamental with the abilities to spawn anything at any time has set the Guards from both Aresden and Elvine on high alert. Neither town wanting to be caught out by any random acts of Monsters appearing.

With the disappearance of Santa’s Elf, the only trace of her being a small orange boot where a spawn of Hellclaws was found, many towns folk are beginning to fear what appear next. Skeptics say it’s the beginning of the end. Believers are preaching that Abaddon has come to save them all. Only time will tell.

In light of the recent discovery that the necklaces handed out for the Gift from the God's event aren't working as tested, we're going to continue handing out but we'll be changing what they are used for! The necklaces will be used as an item to "upgrade" other specific items within the game.

We’re currently looking for a Game Master who is fluent in both Spanish and English (other languages a bonus). Must be active, polite and be able to handle difficult situations. Creativity and general game knowledge are also required. The successful applicant must be able to follow directions well, and be over the age of 18.

This is something that you will have to wait for Hotmail to clear up. We are still receiving emails from other service providers. If you've found that your getting this delay message:

Please resend the email from another provider (stating why the different address, and cc your other address in the email) or complete a TIXX.

• Gift from the Gods, Update

Have you traded in your Wish Balls for Slates? Ready to claim your Scavenger hunt items? Are you ready to face Abaddon?

Remember Abaddon must die in order to claim your Strong Golden Necklaces! The Portal will be opened up on the 14th and will close on the 17th, during which time Abaddon must perish.

To claim your necklace you must go maps and assist with the clearing of the maps. Take a screenshot and complete the TIXX (yet to be opened and will be linked in another update).

• December and Christmas time!

All of the Game Masters would like to wish everyone a safe and happy Christmas. December is a time to be full of the Christmas spirit and as a result we've got a few events in order to help spread the good times.

It's been rumored that herds of Rudolph have broken free from the Eternal Fields and Rocky Highlands in search of green pastures and randomly search around in maps they wouldn't normally be in for fresh grass. Be careful though, they are not for patting they are hungry and wild beasts.

• Gift from the Gods!

Many years had passed and the citizens of Aresden and Elvine had become battle worn and tired. Their attentions had slowly turned from fighting each other, to fighting back the monsters that Abaddon set upon them in order to obtain better items for the upcoming battles against their enemies of the other town. Obtaining more experience in fighting monsters, and collecting what ever nail, leathers or teeth they could salvage off the corpse. Their towns folk would use their collected items and forge new and magical abilities in to their already enchanted armor.

Both Aresien and Edilden had seen their own fair share of bloodbaths, and wanted to assist their followers. The two Gods talked and after a many moons of fighting they came up with an offer both liked and agreed on. They wanted their followers to be strong and powerful, and to be able to last longer in battle, so they created Mana Regeneration Necklaces, and Health Regeneration Necklaces and said for those who complete their task would be rewarded with the Necklace.

Do you have old Wish Balls lying around in your warehouse? Time to put them to use! Just prior to the Crusade and for a short time after the Siege, a Game Master will be available for you to exchange your old wish balls in to something useful! Pearl = Your choice of Slate Blue = Mana Slate Yellow = Berserk Slate Red = Health Slate Green = Experience Slate Turn your Wish Balls in before they are deleted! December only!

• Scavenger Hunts - Slashed!

Tired of running around collecting items? Want to get an early Christmas Present? For December only the requirements for the Scavenger Hunts is being slashed!

Both Anne and Wiliam want people to be happy during this time of year, and have gotten enough money from other various repairs and pot sales to throw a discount! Both of their Scavenger Hunts require HALF the items advertised on the site, that's right half! (rounding up).

• Wonderlands Event Update!

Helien sits in her castle, alone. She's wondering why no one comes to visit her any more. She looked behind her and saw the two flags, a bright red one for Aresden and a royal blue one for Elvine and then it dawned on her. The whole reason behind the Druncnian City was to unite the two cities in to one.

The Wonderland's were meant to be a celebration, to allow the towns people to upgrade their items and have fun. Some people had friends in the other town, just like she had friends from both towns.

Both towns are able to do a combined Wonderlands event at any time when a Game Master is free!

• Server update

The server has been having some technical difficulties. If you experience anything strange such as items missing or items not saving when you pass, trade, sell or find them please create a TIXX to fix what is missing (items or experience [be sure to give an amount of what you lost for verification purposes])

With relation to the server problems, e-mailGame Master and or post on the Helbreath Portal forums. We are committed to ensuring all aspects of Helbreath USA are fun and encourage a safe and playable environment for everyone involved. We don't like the server being down just as much as you don't!

We are aware that this has been going on for quite some days and will evaluate any compensation, news on this will be posted on the web site (generally in game experience points) once the problem has been eliminated and the server stabilized.

The scheduled server reset has been postponed, all actions that need to be done will be done while the server is online to minimize the down time that the server is experiencing.

• Server upgrades

The server has been undergoing some hardware faults and we are in the process of fixing them.

This means that the server maintenance will be extended for Monday 13th November 2006. We hope after this that the server issues will be at a minimum to acceptable level.

If you experience any problems please create a TIXX. While you wait you can review our forums. Tell us what items you want to see as event prizes, post your screenshots!

Remember to adjust your clocks! The time of the Crusades and Sieges will have changed! Don't be caught out turning up late.

• The Siege

Unfortunately were are unable to run a siege yesterday due to unforeseen issues. These issues are solved now (RH is back up, server is restarted).

We will start a siege on Sunday 22 October at Noon EST (17:00 GMT). That is the same time as the crusade on Saturday.

• The Righteous Crusade

Congratulations! The above have been chosen to assist with testing the Kloness Necklace. An additional 4 people were added to the overall list, as Elvine had a tie for 3rd place. Instead of cutting 1 out of the Elvine who rightfully was voted in, another 3 people were added 1 to Aresden and 2 added to the GM's Choice.

The Kloness Necklaces will be placed on the characters for the chosen crusade and bound to them. No one else will be able to use the Kloness Necklace other than the people above.

They will be asked to report on any additional damage that they did or took while wearing it as well as their over all opinion on the item and if it has any effect on monsters or is it just players. They'll be able to test it however they want whether it's in Bleeding Island, in Town or on Raids. Their reports will be summarized and placed here mid next week. The Kloness Necklaces will be on their characters over the next weekend.

• Phase 2: HBPortal forums moving

Helbreath Portal forums will be moving to a new home!

The forums have been around for a long time, and with the new web site coming up soon IENT along with HBportal have decided that it's time to shed the old skin of the forums and start fresh! The forums will match the web site that's yet to be released, think of it as a sneak preview!

If you want to reserve your current user name please email Hawk with your desired user name, your current email address will be used for verification. Other wise register your name when the new forums open up.

We will be introducing a new Administrator, as well as 3 new Moderators for the forums.

The move will happen over the weekend coming.

• The Righteous Crusade

The sign up period for the Righteous Crusade will end after the Siege this weekend. From that a list will be compiled and details posted on the new forums!

• Halloween Madness on Helbreath USA!

During October there'll be lots of scary events to get involved with ranging from random spawns to out of game writing competitions! Be warned when you login and venture outside of what it is you're walking in to, especially during weekends!

Halloween doesn't fall on a weekend however Abaddon is readying his demonic forces now preparing for attacks on the towns. Always be on the look out!

Not only is there The Righteous Crusade event coming soon, there's also a Ghoulish Writing competition, Trick or Treating, Special Edition Colored Zemstones of Sacrifice all that and a Ruthless Abaddon who is planning a series of massive attacks on the towns! • Account Maintenance, Emails and New Account Sign-up

The work being done on our servers has become more complicated than expected. What was meant to have a small impact on the secure web pages including Account Maintenance and New Account sign up has been exasperated by unknown reasons and taking a lot longer than first expected. It has also played havoc with any emails sent on the 31st September, 1st October and 2nd October have been lost in cyberspace. [If you have not gotten a reply please complete a TIXX found here instead.]

This has taken a lot longer than expected, and interfered with a lot more due to the technical difficulties being experienced which are out of our control. We apologize for any inconvenience caused and are working to get the problem fixed.

The server reset scheduled for today has been postponed, a new time has yet to be planned however we expect it to be around Wednesday.

• Progressive Demon Event 26th September

It has been almost two and a half months, Abaddon will not stand for his forces to be put at rest!

Aresden and Elvine it has come time for your towns to go Head to Head against each other in seeing who is truly the stronger side! Which town can ward of the forces from the depths of the Dungeons Demon gate and the heights of the Tower of hell, Which Nation can keep the peace among the town?

Nations, in each town respectively the forces of the Demon Gate will be unleashed upon the town! Fight off these demons and the winning town will be rewarded!

Rules: 10 minutes After the Tuesday Crusade, this Tuesday September 26, within the towns farming areas teams of Demons will be summoned and progressively summoned starting at 1 demon continuing until the town can no longer hold Abaddon’s forces at rest! It will start in the Crusades winning town and move to the other after. The town, which holds of the most amounts of beasts, will have a small surprise. Listen to the Hosting GM's commands in game for more information further rules.

• Phase 1: Game Master Name Changes!

Our beloved Game Masters of the past have made such an impression on the community, and have had an impact on us all in their own ways. No one will ever forget "the orig GM12", as great as the new owner is, it's just not the same.

Phase 1 of the up coming changes to Helbreath is the updating of the Game Masters names! Phase 2 will be a new fresh set of forums to match Phase 3 a NEW web site!
(there is no ETA on the Forums or Web Site)

Game Masters will now have "Names" instead of "Numbers". They will still have their "GM Shields" as proof that they are Game Masters. Any characters that start with "GMName" will be changed upon notice.

Please see the Game Master list for a current and up to date list of Game Master names. We realise that this will make finding a Game Master slightly more difficult while in game as you won't be able to /to GM1, /to GM2 etc however, Game Masters announce when they are online and available.

Game Masters never need, or will ever ask for your password!

If you require a Game Masters assistance you can always complete a TIXX requesting their assistance "[GM] Request Assitance from GM" found here.

Helien will be hosting a series of events over the next few weeks much to her father Eldiniel's dismay, Aresien was none to pleased either. She has chosen brave knights to assist her that yield the Shield of a Game Master! Their powers will be used to test those who feel that they are worthy enough to take up the challenge. • Be careful with your items

TIP: When you wish to drop an item there is a screen that confirms your request. This asked for your safety and is working as intended and not a bug.

If you slide an item out of your inventory once, click no to the verification screen and then repeat sliding the item out later while the option is ON your item WILL drop, due to the check being ON and being previously asked.

To change the option you have to slide something out of your inventory that's different to what you've previously done and then turn the safety check option OFF.

For your own safety leave the option to OFF.

We are pleased to announce that today iENT has hired Joris Beset to be an Administrative Assistant to Tamara Bryan, GM1. He will focus on HBUSA Customer Support issues and research for TIXX problems.

• The Wonder Lands update

Lucy "Cookie" Koo reporting on behalf of Helien.

Hello, this is Lucy Cookie Kuu reporting from outside the steps of the Heldenian Castle. I've just received word from one of Helien Maidens that they are currently scouting out maps and caught in a rather heated discussion. They want to have the best possible map available to players. So far the hot tip seems to be the Farm however one of the Maidens has put up a good argument for the Eternal Fields and Rocky Highlands. Helien herself is still saying that it's more appropriate that given it's her event and her rewards that it should be in front of her castle. Helien and her Maidens are up in arms. More on that as it develops!

A final answer as to who's allowed to be in your party, and who isn't seems to be that it's your town members only. Helien acknowledged that this would cause some stress to the players however, the Scavenger Hunts are given to you by your various shop keepers. Helien doesn't want to upset Anne and Wiliam by allowing the towns to work together.

Helien is also really good friends with Gandalf, the Wizard Trainer and has heard that he might be starting up his own style of hunt soon. The hold up seems to be what it is he can use that wont disrupt the normal playability of the pits. Again more news on that as it happens.

And finally Helien has been seen working out practice summons within the arenas trying to get the right amount of challenging monsters for players to prove that they are true masters when it comes to the environment, and there for worthy of the prizes. She has said to have made it so challenging that people must work together or die. A warrior racing in and throwing around their special attacks, and mages randomly throwing around spells will only get you in to more trouble later.

• The Wonder Lands!

Hello people of Helbreath this is Lucy Cookie Koo reporting from the Heldenian Castle! I've just gotten word from one of Helien's Maidens that the one and only Helien is going to be coming to both Aresden and Elvine to help with the recent Scavenger Hunts being hosted by Anne and Wiliam!

Ever since Helien's argument with her father she's been trying to rebuild her own empire. However, she's had no success with that and has for the moment put those plans aside. Having heard of both towns are attempting to upgrade and better their items, she wants to help them.

Helien has mastered her Goddess powers and has spoken with the Masters of the Game (formally known as Game Masters), to devise a plan to help with this! Naming this plan "The Wonder Lands".

She stressed the importance of working together as a team to go as far as possible. There will be three (3) waves of spawns each larger in number than the previous, and then a Boss Sequence. Each group of 8 will have to work together in order to defeat the Boss Sequences.

There are five (5) different Wonder Lands that you must defeat, and five (5) Boss Sequences to work your way through. Each completed Boss Sequence is worth a prize. Allowing a massive amount of prizes to be given for each Wonder Land experience that will assist you with the Scavenger Hunts.

Given the massive amount of prizes on offer Helien has yet to pick a map in order to do this on. Rumor has it that it could be the farm of either town to avoid any map displacement, and allow the greater chance of drops and exclude the risk of the enemy coming in and interfering. However, this is still unknown!

So hold on to your wizard hats and shine up that mail armor!

The TIXX is now closed! We'll start working on completing them as quickly as possible.

The TIXX is now open for you to claim your rings and will close shortly after the scheduled reset. Remember the character must be 120+. The rings are going to be completed manually as quickly as possible. However, this will still take some time to work our way through them.

Complete this TIXX to claim your ring. Remember, this is your last chance to claim the ring. Once the TIXX closes, you will not be able to get this ring again!

Given the amount of effort that players have put in to collecting the items for the various Scavenger Hunts a few of the GM's have been given permission to host frequent summon events where only those monsters will be spawned. We want to help you upgrade your gear!

• INVASIONS!

Abaddon is unhappy with the amount of his followers who are being killed. He has opened invisible gates to the mortal eye. His minions will appear in masses and create havoc within the towns! He wants to cause both Aresden and Elvine as much pain as possible. His minions are enraged seeking to do as much damage as they can. Be careful when roaming around the town during the raid day as you might find yourself in a difficult situation!

• 5th Memorial Rings!

Remember way back in February Helbreath USA had our anniversary? We gave out 5th Memorial Rings as a thank you to all those who played at the time. Given that there was no official announcement made on the web site, now is your last chance to claim the ring!

On Friday the 4th August a TIXX will be opened for you to claim the ring.

This TIXX will only be open for 24 hours. Your character must be level 120+ in order to claim the ring. This is your last chance in order to claim the ring. Any future request will be declined. More information on the TIXX to complete will be posted on the day. TIXX made prior will not be valid. Requests must be made on the day.

• Say NO to laming!

Hero Items are a symbol of status within the town, and a show of your skills as a player against other players. Those who have them, worked hard at obtaining them, and the bonuses that come along with the entire set. Some people have tried to cheat their way to getting the Hero set faster! As a result they've had all of their EK's and their existing Hero Items removed. Do not let this happen to you! Say no to laming! Laming EKs is done by 2 [or more] characters killing each other constantly with the intent to increase the EK count for Hero items or Flags. Punishments include removal of all EKs, and Hero Items (including capes and flags). If you are found a second time, not only will your Hero Items be removed, but 20% of your total EXP will be deducted!

Helbreath USA is looking to put the artistic talent of the Helbreath community to work! A challenges is being put down! Make a new title banner for the Helbreath USA web site.

Should your image be chosen you will receive 2 of each slates (HP, MP, EXP & Berserk!), 2 Zemstones of Sacrifice, 2 Merien Stones and 2 Xelima Stones.

The banner must be 799 pixels in width and 110 pixels in height. Must contain Helbreath images. All copyright of the image will be passed to iEntertainment upon submitting your entry. You may use in game screenshots, hand drawn images, computerized images as long as the images are owned by yourself to begin with.

To submit your entry please email gamemaster@helbreathusa.com subject "Helbreath USA: Web site logo competition" and attach your image. Please save your raw file with the layers, you may need to send that in on request.

• Sleeping with the fishes, update

The Mob has reviewed the situation, and come to the realization that he's looking at a stand off. If The Mob's thug Calzone fishes Carlotta Bruno, he is the clear winner. However, if Carlotta Bruno fishes Calzone, we're faced with this situation all over again. So The Mob has decided to do is call it off and take them both on as his thugs. The Gimp AKA Moogle2 has proven herself to be Elvine's best thug. Through alliances, wheelin' and dealin' she has shown that she has great potential and is clearly a winner. Calzone AKA Pugilist, has proven himself worthy in having the highest kills in Aresden. He is a strong and worthy opponent. Carlotta Bruno AKA Muppetje, was an equally cunning and sly opponent for those in Aresden. With determination she has shown that she has what it takes to be a thug for The Mob. Given that there can be only 1 clear winner from each town The Mob has decided his Elvine winner is The Gimp, and his Aresden is Calzone, and they will be awarded the prizes worthy of the winners. A group summon event which will last 30 minutes for him/her and 5 of his/her friends, where they choose the pace and type of summons they want, and location. This way they can have some fun with their friends as a reward, killing their favorite monsters and, if lucky, perhaps get a good drop. [Excluding Abaddon.] A collection of slates (2 of each), given prior to the event. 2 Crimson Red Dyes. However Carlotta Bruno will not be forgotten, she is being awarded half the prizes of the winner. Things are coming down to the line in the Fishes event, and that line is a thin one! The Mob is gritting his teeth in anticipation to find out who it is that's going to be his number one Thug! I did hear The Mob saying that he has been rather impressed with some of the stories that he's been told as people were reporting their fishing adventures. I think he even cracked a smile! It's rumored that he might even make an appearance for the announcement of the winners!

• Other site changes!

The screenshots and player pics have been merged in to the 1 area under the Community menu. An index page has been created for the various screenshots that we have on the site for easier navigation. Be sure to check out the screenshots some time if you already haven't.

We've also added to the site a Player Concept art page located under the Artworks menu. • Happy 4th July!!!

Loyalists of Abaddon, crazed monsters and 1 min raiders alike be warned when you step in to the enemy town during the 4th July 2006! With Abaddon again trying to take over the towns he's sent forth his large minions to try and conquer all. William the City Hall Officer has pinned up notices through out the town to try and rally help from the combatants.

INVASION! Help the Guards protect your town! Abaddon has sent in waves of large monsters to disrupt the peace and tranquility within your town during the 4th July 2006! We've been able to muster enough materials to erect a defense around the town. We fear it might not be enough! We need your help. Please help us!

Help your towns minions defeat the evils that are attacking the town! Be on the look out for large monsters that are attacking the Cannon Towers. Game Masters will be also summoning monsters in spirit of the red, white and blue!

The event is coming to a close with only 4 people left in each town! The Mob has fished a total of 7 yellow belly thugs, and getting frustrated at some of the people who remain. However, he is impressed with a few. Calzone and Slippery Steve are catching The Mob's eye as potential hench men.

• Server lag reports

We've had reports of extreme lag over the past few days. We've scheduled some server maintenance as a result. The game should only be down for about an hour. There will be an announcement before the reset occurs in game. While the servers are down, the regular server reset will occur at this time to reduce the inconveniance.

I'm happy to say that in general The Mob is happy with those who've killed at least 1 target, he's starting to get quite mad at those who've done nothing! I've been able to calm The Mob down until after the Siege. He's said that those who haven't shown a sign of being able to fish their target, will be fished themselves by The Mob! Make sure you take screenshots of the /pf, /fi and or /to to show that you're trying to find them, or a screenshot of your target hiding out! The Mob doesn't like Lazy Thugs, and he doesn't like Yellow Belly Gangsters either!

On the 6th June 2006 Demons will be unleashed to cause havoc on the towns. Be repaired, they can attack at any time with varying numbers! An army is gathering in the lower level of the Dungeons. • Event Update and Player Pictures!

Sunday proved to be a difficult day for the overlord Abaddon. With Aresden gathering together and making massive pot runs, Abaddon was defeated in the Eternal Fields.

He then appeared in the Middleland Mines and Silent Woods full of vengeance and determination to destroy both Aresden's and Elvine's alike.

The battle ready group moved on the Middleland Mines Abaddon. Once they got organized he went down in unbelievable time. Abaddon became enraged and spawned in the Ice Bound map, and waited.

Once the pot runs and setting up was completed, the group began and succeeded in killing Abaddon in the Silent Woods as well, this enraged him. However, Abaddon would prevail!

Having defeated Abaddon in the other maps, the group turned their attention to the Abaddon in the Rocky Highlands. Again Abaddon was defeated.

However, his evil plot was executed when the group went towards the Ice Bound map. His evil oozed out reaching the Combatants, causing them to act in strange and unusual ways. Abaddon remains undefeated within the Ice Bound map. Reports say that his evil laugh can be heard echoing throughout the map.

Abaddon continues to rampage in the maps undefeated!

Having called forth his minions after the Siege, the Monsters of Abaddon terrorized the Dungeon and Farms for an hour last night. Our sources report that the spirit of Abaddon was spawning massive amounts of monsters to try and defeat the town. The town grouped together and pushed back the monsters.

Well done to all who attended. If you have a screenshot to submit of the massive summon event, the Crusade or the Siege send them to gamemaster@helbreathusa.com.

• Abaddon's Wrath!

With the combination of Aresden and Elvine working together to defeat him, the spirit of Abaddon has not yet been beaten. He is furious and has threatened to appear in all maps as he wants to! Be warned, he is a powerful enemy to mess with.

Can you assist your town in defeating the mighty Abaddon when he appears? Will you be able to live through the torture the other poor souls couldn't doomed to wander around with him as he demands it or will you be one of the mighty and triumph over his evil.

You have been warned!

• Abaddon has surfaced!
He's spawned inside the map named after himself, Abaddon. Gather your guild members and those of your town to attempt to take him down! Be warned other guilds from the enemy town might be ready to attack you!

• In other news
While the server seems to have stabilized, allowing trades to be completed with out a high risk of item loss. We must stress the importance of logging out to save, this reduces the risk of data loss. See here for more details

• Technical Difficulties

We are aware that the server is having technical difficulties. We are taking the appropriate action to prevent future instances.

Please submit a TIXX if you've lost any in game data.

To prevent data loss, please do not transfer items or trade them until further notice.
Remember to log out to save data.

If you find yourself with a duplicate [duped] item, sell it to the vendor (shop or blacksmith) or pass it to a Game Master. Do not attempt to keep or trade them, people found doing this will be punished. Either create a TIXX or email gamemaster@helbreathusa.com reporting the issue.

There was also an Abaddon hunt which had almost cleared the map. We will summon Abaddon in the Abaddon map once the server settles. More details as to time and date will be posted later.
